DCF IS TURKEY’S FIRST INDEPENDENTLY MANAGED TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AND VENTURE CAPITAL FUND.

THIS PROJECT IS CO-FINANCED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION AND THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY.

DCF MAKES PRE-SEED AND SEED INVESTMENTS. THE FUND WILL TARGET BROADER TURKEY WITH A SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON THE EMERGING REGIONS.

EUROPEAN INVESMENT FUND

The European Investment Fund (EIF) is part of the European Investment Bank group. EIF fosters EU objectives in support of innovation, research and development, entrepreneurship, growth, and employment. EIF’s total net commitments to private equity funds amounted to over EUR 8.8 bn. at end 2014. With investments in over 500 funds, EIF is a leading player in European venture due to the scale and the scope of its investments, especially in high-tech and early-stage segments.

ITU ARI TEKNOKENT

The main objective of ITU ARI Teknokent is to strengthen Turkey's R&D and innovation based infrastructure. ITU ARI Teknokent aims to be the point of focus for the R&D and innovation activities in Turkey and Istanbul in order to strengthen the national technological infrastructure; aims to support, develop and direct to the correct channels the synergy created by the collaboration of the academic know-how and R&D companies.

TEKNOPARK ISTANBUL

Teknopark Istanbul is a science and technology park which is being developed by the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce to contribute to Turkey’s technology development capacity for local and international entrepreneurs.

BİLKENT CYBERPARK

Bilkent Cyberpark is a science and technology park established jointly by Bilkent University, the first private university and one of the best universities in terms of scientific research and technology development capacity in Turkey, and its affiliate Bilkent Holding, which has many companies with software development and R&D functions.

ISTANBUL SEHİR UNIVERSITY TTO

İstanbul Şehir University, which aims at contributing to the production and dissemination of heuristic information met its first students in 2010- 2011 Academic Year, with its unique, participatory, universal and liberal perspective and flourishing team. İstanbul Şehir University continues its activities in three campuses, under the roof of six colleges and three graduate schools.

SABANCI UNIVERSITY – INOVENT

Inovent is Turkey’s first technology commercialization/accelerator and seed fund company established in 2006 as a for profit, fully owned subsidiary of Sabanci University. Inovent’s focus is on the commercialization of early stage technologies with a particular focus on fostering faculty based entrepreneurship.

This financing is provided from IPA funds allocated to Regional Competitiveness Operational Programme which is supported by EU and Republic of Turkey. The Contracting Authority is the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology – DG for EU and Foreign Affairs – Regional Competitiveness Operational Programme Coordination and Implementation Directorate, and the End Recipient is the Scientific and Research Council of Turkey (TÜBITAK)
